    Hobbit Narrative paragraph
“Hello, is anybody there?” said Bilbo. “Gandalf, Fili, Kili, Oin, Gloin, Thorin, are you there” He started to cry, and the sun started to set. He was still weeping when it was nighttime, and a goblin walked out of the cave holding a spear. He said in a scary, raspy voice, “is anybody there?” Bilbo said, “yes, but what does it matter to you now, after you’ve killed all my friends.” The goblin replied, “that is true, they are long gone dead, with no survivors.” Bilbo took of his ring and said, “just kill me, I’m already in more misery than I ever could be in.” So the goblin killed him, and that was the end of the Hobbit.

  2. GOODBYE HEAD
    By: Aidan #6
Yaaaa! I yelled as I charged into the main hall. As I entered the first thing I saw was a huge mass of nights, ladies, and servants all gathered around a huge table. Everyone turned to look at me. I yelled to them. “I am the green knight and I shall make an offer for you” I told them to send their bravest knight over to cut my head off. Instead they sent forward some rinky-dink 3rd class knight named sir Gawain our something. I laid my head on the floor and got ready for the blow. He brought it down mightily and off went my head. I picked it up and yelled, “remember” “One year and one day later I will return the blow. Then I rode off into the night.

  3. Dear Dori’s Diary,

“What are we going to do? We are surrounded by hundreds of wild wolves!” I said.
“We just need to distract the wolves!” Gandalf exclaimed. “Oh no! Bilbo is still scuttling from tree to tree. We need to save him! Dori, go save him you’re the lowest!”
“No way! I’m going to be killed by the wolves”
    “Quick, go save him”
“Fine,” I said. I thought, “Why did we even bring the stupid hobbit on this stupid trip”. I jumped down to the floor, and Bilbo jumped on my back. I boosted him, and then climbed into the tree. The Wargs almost killed me!
One I climbed back up, Gandalf lit a pinecone and threw it at the Wargs. The Wargs started running in circles, lighting each other on fire.
I thought, “We will be saved”.

I would trade all of this for bewulf to be alive. as i got back he said tell the others to build a barrow and call it beowulfs barrow. make it in memory of me. beowulf never lived long a note to say any more words because then i knew
    he was dead.

First I was just a little boy wrestling with my friend Breca and we used to battle to see who was stronger and better at different things. Then I went my type of own way and I met the Spear Danes and they were being attacked by a horrible monster named Grendel. Grendel was terrorizing them and killing them. He was a horrible tall, green monster. Then one day I said I will battle the monster in the night. He came in and before I could see him he killed a man. Then we attacked him. He was dead because we killed him then we went to his cave and killed his mother we also battled and killed her. THE END

  10. My narrative writing is in chapter 5 when the goulem confronts Bilbo. From Spencer Gunning.

"I want to eat you." I said
"No go away, I am lost and do not need your dusty self near me,"
said Bilbo "actually, can you help me find my group?"
"yes, but for the price of that juicy arm of yours."
"Fine you want it, go get it."
He threw a stick and i went after it because it is so dark.
I then saw it was a mere stick. I turned around and my precious food was gone.

  12. A long, long time ago in the heart of the Misty Mountains, I Gollum was paddling around in my little boat on my little lake hunting for fish. I was running low on provisions; the sack of food was getting smaller each day. Then, along came a hobbit.
    "Who are you?" I asked
"I am Bilbo," replied the hobbit. "Will you show me the way out?"
"If you win this game of riddles sure, but if I win I will eat you." I said
We asked each other riddles; I was getting them all right. Then, just like that I lost. I went back to my island, guffawing anyway. My ring would still let me eat Bilbo. My ring was gone! The hobbit had found it. Sadly, he escaped with it and was gone.

  14. The wolves view of the dwarfs getting caught up in a tree.

It was a full moon. My troop and I howled at it. We sensed something. We guessed it was the goblins late to our meeting. I ordered the troop to gather in a circle. Then we saw them, the tasty dwarfs, a hobbit, and a wizard in front of us up hiding in a tree. We watched the tiny hobbit on a dwarf’s back climbing into a tree. My fellow wolves tried to attack the dwarf but missed as he swung his leg up onto the tree. We attacked and jumped all around the trees they were in keeping them up there. We told the dwarfs that there would be goblins coming soon. One of them, the wizard was able to understand our yapping and yelling. He was getting deadly afraid you could tell.
    “The goblins are coming soon!”
“Yea you don’t stand a chance!”
    “Give up on it!”
As my friends were yelling at them the wizard grabbed a pine cone and lit it aflame. I joined in at the yapping because we knew the pinecone was useless against us. He then threw it down. It caught on a fur of a fellow wolf and burned him to death. That got us angry. He screamed at them as revenged. We cursed and swore at them. Then out of nowhere another pinecone came and cought on my nose. I was lucky enough to get it off. Many of us died because our fur got lit on fire and burned us.

  17. Bilbo read the note and sat down on his favorite chair to ponder whether or not he should go on the adventure. He thought about his family. He took into consideration which side of his family he needed to stay true to.
"Took or Baggins?" he thought to himself. He thought about all of the good things that came to the Bagginses who never went on adventures. He thought about the infamous name of the Tooks. Which one did he want to be most like?
"The Bagginses. I want to be a Baggins because Bagginses are respected." Bilbo reminded himself. He then skipped to his bookshelf, knowing he did the right thing, to pick up a book. He picked out his favorite one and plopped down to read all day long.

  18. I was laying in my tunnel when I heard a big slam. I stood up, but I didn't move any further. There were footsteps coming from another area of the tunnel. I decided to walk towards the sound to find out what it was. I walked about seven steps before I saw a moving figure. It was walking and kept doing so until it saw me. It was small, and it was probably a dwarf. When it finally saw me, the creature gasped and stopped very suddenly.
    "Who are you?" it asked.
"I'm Gollum. Who are you?" I replied.
"I'm Bilbo Baggins. I'm a dwarf from Bag's End, if you know where that is," he said.
"Yes, I think I've heard of it. Now... Why are you here?" I asked.
"You see, this special wizard named Gandalf and I are friends. He told me to go on this journey and I've been travelling for quite a while and after some scary stuff I ended up here," Bilbo said.
"Oh... So you know Gandalf? Well, um, I don't think he's your friend. You see, he and I are actually planning to kill you and all your little dwarf friends. That's why he sent you on this journey that you could, and will, die on. Now that I've told you, I feel like you're going to tell everyone to hide, so I will have to kill you now," I explained.
The look on his face was very amusing. I couldn't tell wether he thought I was joking or if he should come up with a plan. I turned around to get my scythe. I thought he would find it preferable to die quickly. I turned around to kill him, but he was gone. And so was my special ring.

I exclaim as walking across the parapet." Oh my precioussssssss the air! My lungssss. They burn!" I grab my throat and choke losing air.

" This human air is dangeroussss!" I run back to were I came from before. I stumble losing more and more air." Come my preciousss we might die together." I say in a whispering voice. The gate was a bit ajar but closing sooner.

The Unexpected Party from Gandalf's point of view

Wednesday, the day I am meeting all the dwarves at Bilbo's house. I got dressed and picked up my tall staff and my pipe. I walked outside as I put on my tall floppy hat . When I had just reached the pathway, I stopped suddenly. I realized that I was supposed to pick up the dwarves with the names of Bobur, Bifur, Bofur, and of course, Thorin. With a sigh, I thumped my staff four times on the ground. I closed my eyes and felt myself being lifted off the ground. I appeared at Bobur, Bifur, and Bofur's side. We wished each other good morning. I told them we would be meeting Thorin. They closed their eyes as I thumped my staff on the ground ahn we were lifted off the ground. Instantly, we appeared at Thorin's side. We nodded to each other and we continued to walk along the path to Bilbo Baggins' house.

I walked up to the house and knocked on the door with my staff. A few minutes later, he opened the door. I saw that everyone else was already there. I was ready to go on the journey.

All the sudden I fell into a deep sleep, and awoke the next morning with Bilba shaking me and trying to wake me, to see if I was ok. Finally Bilba and I found our way out of the cave, into a forest. Bilba was collecting me berries to snack on for breakfast. We had to be careful though because there were many twigs and tree roots sticking out of the groud so that it was easy to trip.
" Oww! Bilbo! Stop! Wait up!" Bilba shouted
" I fell over a tree branch and can't get up! I think that I broke my ankle!"

  30. Dear Gollum’s Diary (by Katie T.)

I have had such a horrible and flummoxed birthday! It all started when I was admiring my birthday present on my rock in the middle of my homely swamp. Then I heard a noise that made me jump and shortly after that a hobbit by the name of Bilbo Baggins enter. He had apparently gotten himself lost in the cave of this pinnacle and was begging fro my help. After I refused and had gotten quite a good appetite I proposed that we play a riddle game. He set up some unfair rules but then we started to play. I had amazing riddles that I knew he didn’t know but some how he seemed to find an answer. Finally I was fed up with him some I devised a devious plan to just killed the hobbit with the help of my precious. Unfortunately the Hobbit guessed my plan and was quickly on his way leaving me mourning the loss of my precious. Somehow I can to the conclusion that I had lost my precious but the Hobbit had found it. I spent my whole afternoon trying to find the invisible hobbit but I quickly learned that he had already let the cave.

    Sincerely,
    Gollum

    Beowulf
    - My name is Wiglaf. I'm now running a village that was handed over to me by King Beowulf. King Beowulf was the greatest leader this world has ever seen. He had fought a dragon with me by his side. He had protected me when my shield broke into bits of fire. Beowulf did kill the dragon, but before the dragon died, his fangs had struck into his skin and was been blasted with flame. A great man had fallen that. He was a great leader, a friend to all, and a warrior. I looked at him, with sorrow, and brought him back to the lands. They medicals tried to fix him up with what they had, but that didn't help much. Beowulf looked at me weak, and with a soft voice said, "Take this." He handed me a golden collar "You are a brave and young kinsman, worthy enough to be king." "May this bring you good fortune for the rest of your days" I looked at the collar and then looked at him. Right there and then, his last breath was taken...

The green knight looked like he had an idea. He finally said. “Do you want to bet something on this?” Everyone thought that was a good idea. “Whoever wins gets each other’s kingdom” said Gawain. The fight began. The green knight grabbed Sir Gawain by the neck and killed him. 34. Gandalf’s Family Reunions
    The Hobbit
    Josie Mahoney
Family Reunions. Aren’t they just a pain in the neck? You wouldn’t believe mine. Honestly, no believes me when tell these stories I have about my reunions. But I always remember these stories.
One year, my aunt baked some pudding for us. It was right before she came so she used magic to make it faster. When it was time for dessert, we all rushed to the dessert table. A lot of people piled her pudding onto their plates. My brother even told me “Oh Gandalf, you have to try this pudding. It’s heavenly.” But I didn’t. About an hour after everyone had dessert I knew what was coming. I heard moaning and groaning. People were holding their stomachs. All the bathrooms were full. It was the pudding that made my family sick. As you probably guessed, it didn’t go too well after that.
Another year, my grandfather and I put on a firework show for my family and some Hobbits living nearby. Everyone sat outside as we put the fireworks on. We usually did this every year. But this year didn’t go as planned. My grandfather lit one firework for the finale. Except this one wouldn’t shoot up in the sky and explode. This one exploded on the ground. Sparks flew everywhere. Everyone ran for cover. Some of the sparks caused a fire on the dry wheat that was nearby. That was quickly patted out, though. It was a disaster.
This year had to be by far the most embarrassing reunion. My Uncle Tiodde tried to put on a magic show for the little ones. “Hey Gandy,” he said to me before the show, clamping his hands on my shoulder. “Uh, I’ve told you Uncle Tiodde, I don’t like to be called Gandy. My name is Gandalf!” I said, annoyed. “Alright, whatever you say Gandy!” He said, taking his hand off my shoulder. I rolled my eyes. Then, my Uncle Tiodde hopped onto the stage. All the kids clapped their hands and cheered. “Hey, thank you, thank you,” my uncle said, gesturing to the crowd. “Today, I’m going to do a magic show!” He wiggled his fingers. All the kids clapped again. Some even tried some new spells that shot out confetti. “My first trick… will be to make it snow!” Everyone cheered this time. My uncle grabbed his staff and whirled it around. I suddenly tensed up. This was terrible technique. You are never supposed to whirl your staff in the air to make it snow. You’re supposed to slam the bottom of it on the ground and say a few words. But I didn’t say anything as he whirled his staff around like a maniac.
Just then, the lights when out. All the kids screamed. I saw some of my relatives try to make light. But I knew everyone was relying on me. My specialty was light. So I quickly mumbled a few words and a light appeared on the top of my staff. Everyone swarmed my staff and I like moths swarm to a light. Then, I mumbled a few other words which made the lanterns in the room go on. Everyone smiled and cheered.
I’ve realized over these times that I love my family for being them clumsy selves. They are the best things I have. And I love them.

The band of dwarves piled into the mountain cave. Thorin and Gandalf sat huddled in the corner, whispering. Fili and Kili soon had a fire going, and the dwarves huddled around them and ate. They sang songs and roasted their meal. All throughout, Thorin and Gandalf talked. Bilbo heard whispers like,

    “...leave early in the morning…”

“...the best ponies and all of the provisions…”

    “We will travel through Mirkwood…”

As night fell, the dwarves went to sleep. Bilbo was wide awake, however, because he was an insomniac. He knew that Thorin and Gandalf were leaving and going on the adventure on their own. Gandalf woke Thorin, and they raised to leave. Gandalf’s blunder was that he knew Bilbo was an insomniac, but forgot. Bilbo woke the other dwarves up, and they stopped Thorin and Gandalf.

  36. The Hobbit information

The Hobbit is a fictional book written by J.R.R Tolkien. It is about a Hobbit named Bilbo who goes on an adventure he was kind of forced into by 13 dwarves and a wizard named Gandalf. Their mission is to go to the Lonely Mountain far away, and plunder the dragon Smaug’s gold, and to kill him. In the book, they have many wild adventures, and in some of them it is so lucky that they manage to survive. In one chapter they are hiding up in 5 trees, and a pack of evil Wargs (evil, talking wolves who want to kill them) set fire to the trees, but luckily the Eagle King comes out and sends his minions to save them from dying. The Hobbit is a very famous book which is well known and popular.

When Gandalf was about to be born, his mom, Gandalfa died. This is why Gandalfo stopped being a wizard and living his life in sorrow. When Gandalf came into the land, his father died. Gandalf wanted to bring back the magic of his parents.

I live on an island in the middle of the lake, where no one ever goes. So you might be able to imagine how surprised I was when one day, I looked up and saw someone− a hobbit. I watched him for a while , and then decided to get into my boat and go to where he was sitting on the brink.
    “Who are you?” he asked.
I said something to myself and he continued talking.
“I am Bilbo Baggins” he said. “I have lost everyone and I don’t know where I am”.
I decided to help Bilbo, but I wasn’t going to make this easy for him.
“I’ll show you the way out” I said. “If you can answer these riddles”.
“Very well” he replied, and I asked the first riddle.

  39. A long time ago, I, the green knight, was the most powerful person in the world! I was ten feet tall and wore nothing but green. I wore green because it was my mom’s favorite color and I was on a journey to avenge her. A few years before, when I wasn't good at fighting yet, we went on a long walk through a bunch of kingdoms. When we got to Arthur's kingdom they looked at us as a threat. Arthur ordered his guards to charge and attack us. I got away, but my mother wasn't so lucky. She sacrificed herself to save me, and I was going to avenge my mother for that. I was so confident that I didn't think of the things that could go wrong. So I rode my horse into the castle and put my plan into action.
"Excuse me everyone, don't worry I come in peace. I would like to joust."
So I explained that I wouldn't mind one of the soldiers striking at me, if I get to strike that back in one year. I got happy when Arthur volunteered, but then Gawain stepped up and I got frustrated. My plan had failed, but I still had a chance to kill a tiny little man. The little man stricken at me but was very weak, and I felt released. A year later, the man entered my green chapel to face his death, or so I thought. I got the sharpest blade I had and got ready to strike. As I was about to strike, I felt a pain in my chest; Gawain had stabbed me in the heart! I swayed back and forth before I fell to the ground never to wake up again. The one good thing about dying is that I got to be reunited with my mother again. All is happy and all is well.

Sir Gawain kills the Green Knight
Sir Gawain is the main character here and is a loyal noble knight to the king Arthur the rightful king of the country of England. Then the green knight comes in and says he is the best knight and he challenges sir Gawain and then sir Gawain shoots him in the heart and then he was still alive so sir Gawain invited him for dinner. While the green knight wasn’t looking sir Gawain poured poison into the wine the green knight was drinking. After the dinner the green night started to go home but felt nauseous so sir Gawain volunteered to walk the green night home. While they were riding in their carriage home the green knight passed out.
Then when green knight woke up he was paralyzed and on the top of a sacrifice table all he could see was sir Gawain with a battle axe and a priest. Then the priest started to pray. Then sir Gawain swung and copped of the green nights head.

    The end

  44. Hero of The Hobbit (Katie Taylor)

Bilbo is the most courageous hero in The Hobbit. In the beginning of the book when the journey starts Bilbo has to deal with much displeasure, which he would not have to deal with if he was at home. On page 29 it states “… He splashed behind the others in a very muddy track…the rain had gotten into the dry clothes and into the food bags.” Also, Bilbo has to fight for himself in situations where he is alone. Once Bilbo had to fight off a large audacious spider. One page 169-170 explains Bilbo’s victory “Bilbo came at it before it could disappear and stuck it with his sword right in the eyes…until he killed it with another stroke.” Furthermore, Bilbo uses his resources very wisely. During the book Bilbo finds a magical ring that can make him disappear he uses this ring wisely and to help the dwarves. On page 171 it explains “ Also Bilbo had slipped on his ring before he started. That is why the spiders neither saw nor heard him coming.” Although Bilbo does sometimes get foiled he is a very strong hero in The Hobbit.

  45. Hobbit isn't interesting. A reason that hobbit isn't interesting is that it uses too many long words. The long words make it confusing and then I skip through the book and not understand what is going on. A second reason is that the author makes to many obstacles and problems. For example, there are too many obstacles and problems. I do understand that some people like lots of violence and adventure, but I think there is too much. I think Hobbit is a confusing and difficult book for a sixth grader if you are not following along with an audio.

  47. It was a peaceful day in Spear Danes; just two days after I fought Beowulf in the great hall known as Heriot, I barely escaped with my life. I’ve been hiding in my home in the swamp ever since then. “I’m getting restless” I said to myself “I need to get out of here.” I decided to go out tonight and gather food and recourses.
I went out later that night and travelled around the land of Spear Danes for a long time. Every time I found a cow or a sheep I would eat it, but there were not a lot of them tonight. I found a large cave entrance and decided to go in. After a while of walking, I arrived at a huge room full of gold with a bunch of other entrances to the cave. There was only a small hole in the ceiling for light, but the gold reflected the light all around the room. There was a huge sleeping red dragon on top of the gold pile. I decided to try and grab some of the gold and jewels from the pile. Sneakily I tiptoed over to the pile. I grabbed a handful of gold, then I saw a huge golden goblet incrusted with beautiful jewels of every color
